BloodMoney: A Darkly Humorous Clicker Game That Challenges Your Morality

USA Full time

Gameplay: Clickers with Consequences

Bloodmoney Game is essentially a clicker with simple controls. You start out earning $1 per click by clicking on Harvey. You can purchase upgrades as you play, such as feathers, needles, hammers, scissors, and more, which increase your income per click but also increase Harvey's damage. Each tool has a trade-off: faster money-making comes at the cost of Harvey's visible suffering, which is expressed through his dialogue, grimaces, and groans.

The game's deliberate pacing encourages you to balance speed and strategy. Every decision you make affects the plot and leads to one of three possible outcomes: You can grind slowly with less dangerous tools, such as feathers, or you can choose to use brutal tools to reach your $25,000 goal faster.

  • Good Ending: Stop at $25,000 with as little damage as possible, keeping your humanity intact, and not letting Harvey get hurt.

  • Normal Ending: Harvey survives but is more exhausted from using rather painful tools but avoiding the most drastic options.

  • Bad Ending: The player questions their decisions after using the darkest tools, such as guns.

Exploring these endings, each of which presents a unique perspective on the moral costs of your choices, is what gives the game its replay value. Players who are perceptive enough to pause and engage with the story rather than clicking blindly are rewarded with subtle clues that add depth, such as a change in background color or Harvey's altered dialogue.
