Job Description: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Proofreader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for grammar, punctuation, and style, as well as a passion for helping others communicate effectively. You will be responsible for reviewing and editing a variety of documents, ensuring they are free of errors and adhere to our clients' specific guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and proofread a wide range of documents, including articles, reports, marketing materials, and academic papers.
  • Identify and correct grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors.
  • Ensure consistency in style, tone, and formatting across all documents.
  • Collaborate with writers and editors to clarify content and improve overall quality.
  • Provide constructive feedback to authors to enhance their writing skills.
  • Meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in proofreading or editing, preferably in a professional setting.
  • Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and style.
  • Familiarity with various style guides (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using proofreading and editing tools (e.g., Grammarly, Microsoft Word Track Changes).
