Job Description:

Acme Gaming Studios is seeking a talented and experienced game developer to join our team and help create the next addictive mobile sensation - Slope. As a Slope Game Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of this unique and challenging endless runner game.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the game design team to conceptualize and implement the core gameplay mechanics of Slope, including the dynamic and ever-changing slope, obstacles, power-ups, and scoring systems.
  • Develop the game's user interface and controls, ensuring seamless and intuitive interactions for players on various mobile devices.
  • Implement the game's visual assets, including 2D graphics, animations, and effects, to create a minimalist yet visually appealing aesthetic.
  • Code the game's backend systems, including game logic, physics simulations, and server-side components for leaderboards and player data management.
  • Optimize the game's performance for smooth and responsive gameplay across a wide range of mobile devices and operating systems.
  • Participate in testing and debugging processes, identifying and resolving issues to ensure a polished and bug-free final product.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and community teams to provide support and feedback for post-launch updates and content expansions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in game development, with a strong portfolio of successful mobile game projects.
  • Proficiency in game development frameworks and engines, such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
  • Expertise in programming languages like C#, C++, or Java, and familiarity with mobile development platforms (e.g., iOS, Android).
  • Strong understanding of game design principles, including level design, user experience, and game mechanics.
  • Ability to optimize code for performance and scalability on mobile devices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Passion for the gaming industry and a keen interest in the endless runner genre.
